West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

The post holder will be part of the Forensic Social Work service at West London NHS Trust supporting the Head of Forensic Social work and team managers.
The post holder will support the effective management of safeguarding practice and the establishment of a public protection governance agenda in the service by providing organisational and coordinating support.
The post holder is expected to act on their own initiative to ensure the effective running of safeguarding and other public protection processes, prioritising their own workload as required, with little daily supervision.
The post holder is expected to communicate and liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, external organisations, and the public, dealing with complex, sensitive, and confidential information in an appropriate manner.

To be a point of contact and maintain relationships across multi agency safeguarding and public protection teams.
Assisting the Head of Forensic Social Work and team managers in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective office procedures.
To maintain and populate databases with confidential and sensitive information and to produce reports relating to this.
To co-ordinate, organise and support any safeguarding and public protection training schedules and work with the forensic social work service to ensure the smooth delivery of the sessions. This will include: - booking presenters, ensuring the appropriate venue is located and set up and reviewing; evaluations for feedback to be considered. You will be required to support and deliver training with the forensic social work services.
Take responsibility to plan and arrange meetings and events which may be internal or external to the team, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made, such as maintaining invite lists, making room bookings, refreshments, etc. and travelling to the site to ensure the event runs smoothly.
Using project management skills, provide a fully comprehensive professional project support to the forensic social work service.
Communicate information and issues, including briefings, reports, and legislative updates to members of the forensic social work team and others within the trust governance structure.

- Qualifications & Knowledge Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven theoretical experience
- ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent intermediate knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages
Experience

- Significant knowledge and experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of complex administrative duties and maintaining systems, rotas, and diaries.
- Knowledge of office procedures and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information, particularly in relation to the NHS and patients. Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
