Are you a newly qualified pharmacist looking for an exciting start to your career? Join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team in beautiful North Wales! Develop your clinical skills and make a real difference to patient care.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of hospital pharmacy departments, which may include areas such as acute medicine, surgery, critical care, oncology and paediatrics. Our rotations can also include technical services (aseptic preparation), dispensary and medicines supply, giving you a comprehensive foundation in secondary care.

Main duties of the job

  • Participate in structured training through the HEIW post-graduate foundation pharmacist programme, leading to Royal Pharmaceutical Society Foundation credentialing.
  • Rotate across multiple departments, gaining experience in specialist and generalist clinical areas.
  • Work within integrated clinical pharmacy teams to influence treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to technical services, dispensary, and medicines supply as part of your development.
  • Engage in collaborative working and maintain a strong focus on patient care.
  • Embrace opportunities for learning and professional growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • MPharm Degree or equivalent
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Knowledge of clinical pharmacy
  • Good knowledge of therapeutics
  • Knowledge of electronic and manual information sources
Desirable criteria
  • Practicing member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
  • Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
  • Training qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Must be able to demonstrate suitable level of experience working in the managed sector and/or community pharmacy
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of patient-orientated medicines systems

Aptitudes and Abilities

  • Good verbal/written communication skills
