Job overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Band 7 Podiatrist to join our dynamic team, working across both our specialist Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) Clinic and our vascular ward. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with our Lead Podiatrist on inpatient care, while contributing your expertise to our twice-daily multidisciplinary DFU clinics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and elevate inpatient podiatry services, driving best practice and delivering outstanding care to a high-risk patient group. While our Lead Podiatrist also works across the emergency care quadrant, this role will focus on inpatient and DFU clinic work, helping to further enhance our service.
Alongside a supportive, welcoming team, you’ll enjoy an exceptional quality of life in beautiful North Wales—from sweeping mountain views and stunning coastlines to endless walking trails, all just a short hop from the vibrant city of Chester.
Join us and make a real impact—professionally and personally.
Main duties of the job
To be part of a highly motivated team, having at least five years NHS post registration experience, working independently in both community and acute settings, delivering highly specialist seamless podiatric care to individuals and groups; supporting management of complex cases and promoting empowerment of individuals to self manage their conditions.
To provide inpatient podiatry provision to patients with foot problems; to clinically support the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice, acting as a source of expertise. You will be expected to demonstrate specialist knowledge and a high level of personal skill and be responsible for the training, supervision and performance assessment of staff. You will need a sound theoretical knowledge base and be able to demonstrate evidence-based practice.
