Job overview

The purpose of the role is to work as part of the Central Area Safeguarding Team, providing comprehensive administrative support to the service.  

 

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to a team of professionals. This includes managing the team’s cycle of business ensuring reports are completed and submitted within timescales. 

 

The role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. 

 

The post holder will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the services requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative. 

 

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team at a community base and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence. The post-holder will also take telephone messages, convey information to others and arrange meetings etc.

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Typing qualification RSA 3 or equivalent
  • ECDL/CLAIT
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3 relevant to the role or with equivalent work experience

Experience
