Job overview

An Opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our Community Hospital Team to provide skilled, clinical and effective care.  Famau Ward Denbigh Infirmary is a 23 beded ward which provides rehabilitaion and end of life care.

The post holder will support the trained nurse and other health care professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient focused care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.

Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.

Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing;

Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 NVQ or willing to work towards this and completion within the first 12 months of being in post
Desirable criteria
  • Completion of all Wales Induction Framework

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of dealing with the public within a health or care environment

  • Previous clinical experience

Aptitude and Abilities

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging circumstances
