Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for clerical officer to join the team at Llandudno Hospital. The purpose of this post is to provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative and reception service to Llandudno Hospital. The post holder will first point of contact for telephone communication. The post holder will work within the Llandudno Hospital administrative teams alongside the Site Administrator to provide a seamless administrative service to the Community Hospital.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the role is to:
- Offer general assistance to services providers and users and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the General Office including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the team
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of staff secondary care and other associated healthcare and wellbeing agencies

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- o GCSE’S C and above in English and Maths or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level 2 in Administartion or equivalant experience
- IT Qualification or equivalent level of experience using Microsoft packages
- RSA/OCR Level 2 or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- o ECDL
- AMSPAR-City & Guilds Level 3
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in a clerical, administration/ reception role.
- Copy/Audio typing

- Ability to speak Welsh

- Able to use Word/Excel/ Outlook competently and to manage electronic diaries effectively
