Job overview

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) are seeking compassionate individuals to join out Bank Chaplain/Pastoral Support Worker team. Based at West Heath Hospital (but also cover city wide services), this flexible Bank role supports patients, carers and staff across out diverse services with inclusive spiritual, religious and non-religious care.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are particularly interested in those who can support users from Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jewish, Pagan or Humanist communities. This role helps strengthen out commitment to inclusive, person-centred care across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

·         - Provide spiritual or pastoral care to patients, families and staff of all faiths and beliefs.

·        - Work flexibly across inpatient and community services.

·       -  Support access to appropriate religious or non-religious resources.

·        -  Collaborate with chaplaincy, clinical teams and community contacts.

·         - Assist in staff training on faith, belief and cultural awareness.

·        - Contribute to reducing health inequalities through inclusive support.
