Job overview

To assess, plan interventions and the service delivery of your own patient caseload and document in associated records within a clinical area, under the supervision/guidance of Senior Physiotherapists.

To participate in continuing professional and service development and contribute to organisational objectives.

Main duties of the job

To assess, plan interventions and the service delivery of your own patient caseload and document in associated records within a clinical area, under the supervision/guidance of Senior Physiotherapists.

To provide patient assessment, treatment, intervention and evaluation of outcome, of own patient caseload, within a clinical team or group setting.
To use professional knowledge to formulate problem list and subsequent treatment with goal plans and appropriate documentation in-line with departmental policy.
To assist Senior Physiotherapy Therapy staff in the development of new procedures and evidence based practice. 
To follow advice and expertise of Senior Therapy staff to develop clinical skills and knowledge in managing own caseload.

Education, qualifications and training

Essential criteria
  • Current registration with Health Professions Council
  • Diploma /Degree in Physiotherapy
Desirable criteria
  • MCSP Membership

Special Circumstances

Essential criteria
  • Car driver / owner able to travel to other locations within the trust using own vehicle
  • Physical ability and endurance to work in the physical environment of the clinical area of all rotations within this pos
  • Ability to participate in on call / weekend working rota
  • Self motivated

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Work experience within the NHS
  • Ability to work and interact effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Comprehensive Student placements ( covering – Ortho, Neuro, Resp, MSK,)
  • Establish and maintain CPD Portfolio
  • Knowledge and application of evidence based practice and clinical reasoning
