Job overview

We currently have two vacancies  for 2 x 20 hours Soft Facilities Management Supervisors;  both vacancies are expected to lead on the auditing and training of the Soft Facilities Team at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth and the Community sites. As part of the role, post holders will be working as part of the wider team of Soft Facilities Management Supervisors.

The hours are 20 hours per week working Monday to Friday between the hours of 06:00 and 20:00

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals who are hardworking, motivated, forward thinking and innovative.

The post is demanding and the ideal candidates will have relevant supervisory/team leading experience.  A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience is essential.

The post holders will need to be flexible to work wherever the demand is within the Soft Facilities Department. Ability to travel between sites in 
a timely manner is essential for this role.

 

Working for our organisation

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.

We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.

We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.

Our services are provided in:

  • Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
  • Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
  • Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
  • 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
  • Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good level of general education
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge of cleaning tasks/cleaning supervision
  • Detailed Food Hygiene knowledge, Health & Safety, COSHH, Moving and Handling, and HACCP knowledge
  • IT Skills
Desirable criteria
  • ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading or equivalent
  • Level 2 Food Safety Award
  • Coaching/Training Certificate
  • Supervisory Training
  • IOSH Certificate
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control

Experience
