Job overview
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the following vacancy within the Phlebotomy team at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.
1x Part time Band 2 Phlebotomy post, 30 hours per week, working Tuesday to Friday 8.30am to 5:00pm.
Flexibility around these hours may be required at times and there is an additional requirement to participate on the Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday rota (these shifts will be in addition to the contracted hours and there will be extra remuneration for staff on this rota).

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be based at Bronglais General Hospital and will be required to undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the Phlebotomy section but will mainly be involved with the collection of blood samples by venepuncture for analysis from the wards and Phlebotomy Outpatient Department.
They will be required to be flexible to the needs of the service and undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the section. They will also be expected to undertake training and participate in a range of duties in the specimen reception area of the laboratory.
Full in-house training will be provided but previous experience of phlebotomy would be advantageous.
