Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Manager with a strong passion for operational delivery and the drive to support a wide-ranging transformational agenda within Audiology.
As the Support Manager for Audiology, you will lead all aspects of operational performance across the service, ensuring high-quality service delivery within agreed resources, manage capacity and demand and timetabling plans for the 24 clinicians.
You will provide business support to the Audiology Senior Team, being responsible for the verification and analysis of performance data, including the new all Wales reportable waiting lists. You will work closely with the Head of Audiology, the ENT/Audiology Service Manager and the Audiology Office Manager. You will be expected to work with health board colleagues to develop, implement and review service delivery and improvement plans.
This is a key position where you will champion operational effectiveness and high-quality care, helping to shape and strengthen services during a period of significant transformation.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing/managing our electronic patient management system (AuditBase) to ensure that referrals are managed appropriately. You will be responsible for ongoing capacity and demand work to ensure that trajectories for both adult and paediatric waiting lists are met.
You will be responsible for ongoing clinical scheduling to ensure that clinical time is maximised.
You will be a key point of contact for any operational issues within the Audiology Service linking closely with the Head of Service, the ENT/Audiology Service Delivery Manager, the Senior Audiology team and external organisations if applicable.
You will need to develop an understanding of the Audiology Service within the health board, their role/processes and the Audit Base system that stores all the data.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
