Job overview

The WELL Runcorn Hub Community Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the General Manager with the effective coordination and day-to-day delivery of the ground floor community space at Runcorn’s WELL Runcorn Hub. The postholder will ensure the Hub is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that is responsive to the diverse needs of local people.

Working under the leadership of the General Manager, the postholder will apply their safeguarding knowledge, strong organisational skills, and community insight to support the smooth running of services, activities, and events. They will provide frontline engagement with the public and service users, acting as a key point of contact for advice, guidance, and signposting.

The postholder will also build positive relationships with delivery partners, ensuring their sessions are well supported and aligned to the Hub’s vision. In the absence of the General Manager, they will contribute to the effective oversight of daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, safety, and accessibility.

Main duties of the job

The Community Coordinator is critical to the successful delivery of the Hub’s vision by:

  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all visitors feel supported and valued.
  • Building strong relationships with community members, partners, and service providers to maximise the impact of the Hub’s offer.
  • Supporting the delivery of a diverse range of services, sessions, and events that reflect community needs and priorities.
  • Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing are at the heart of all community interactions and activities.
  • Helping to embed the Hub as a trusted, central point of access for health, care, and wellbeing in Runcorn.

The role will be a busy and varied role requiring you to multi-task and to work to deadlines.  It will demand a high level of interaction with multiple stakeholders, including staff and service users, therefore an ability to build and maintain excellent relationships across a wide group of partners will be essential.

Reporting to the WELL Runcorn Hub General Manager, the Community Coordinator will act as a key representative of the Hub, combining strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent communication and frontline engagement. The role requires a proactive, flexible approach and the ability to build positive relationships with members of the public, partners, and service providers. The postholder must be confident working independently, while also contributing effectively as part of the wider Hub team.
