Job overview

We are seeking a new member of our Housekeeping Team in the Staff Accommodation facility at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.  

Working as part of a highly motivated and dedicated team, ensuring our guests (staff working and studying at the hospital) receive clean and well presented accommodation facilities.

The role is cleaning/servicing rooms/flats/houses as required ready for the new resident to occupy, as well as regular cleaning of shared communal areas such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchens etc.

An eye for detail and exceptionally high standards are required for this role to ensure our guests and tenants feel comfortable and well rested whilst housed in our facility, so they may give their best care for the patients and visitors of the hospital.    

Main duties of the job

Regular cleaning and servicing of bedrooms/flats/houses between guests.

Regular cleaning, stocking up of materials needed on communal areas within the facility i.e. toilets, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, entrance lobby's, communal lounges etc.  

Ensuring excellent standards are maintained in conditions of cleanliness and presentation of our facilities to our residents (customers)

Essential criteria
  • • GCSE to include Maths and English or equivalent or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • • Level 2 Cleaning Building Interiors (or equivalent)
  • • Customer Care Training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Demonstrate basic knowledge of Health & Safety
Desirable criteria
  • • Experience of working within a hospital environment.
  • • Previous experience in a similar post.
