Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape data provision within Derbyshire Healthcare NHS FT. This role will be a Data Engineer in a team data and integration services to both internal and external customers.

As a member of the data warehouse, integration, analytics and applications team you will have to work in a team of web developers and data manipulation specialists and also contribute to collaborative initiatives across the department and wider organisation.

Main duties of the job

  • As a key member of the team you will be required to collaborate in a variety of projects and tasks with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will need to have technical skills and will need to be a skilled SQL specialist in DHCFT.

  • They will need to be capable of understanding technical systems as well as working in a team to deliver an excellent service.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree level in relevant subject (Business, Human Resources, or Information Systems) or equivalent experience
  • ICDL (International Certification of Digital Literacy) or former ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent experience.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Advanced keyboard skills, and demonstrate an excellent knowledge and experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • High level of numeracy and analytical skills and the ability to manipulate statistics, analyse data and trends
  • Ability to analyse and produce documents/reports to a high standard, and present often complex data in a meaningful succinct way

Experience
