Job overview
We are looking for Education Leads to cover Trustwide counties.
To enable SWAST staff to deliver of high quality pre-hospital patient care by providing innovative, efficient and effective in–service training and education. This may include delivery in the classroom setting and/or in the workplace to individuals and groups of staff.
Provide proactive and dynamic leadership, acting as an educational figurehead, promoting high quality patient care, examination and assessment, values and appropriate care pathways.
Main duties of the job
To carry out a comprehensive variety of training duties, as required by the Head of Education and L&D management team. The focus of the Education Lead will be on delivering high quality classroom and work-based learning and assessment as appropriate, considering previous learning and recognising learner progress so as to manage accordingly and to meet individual learning needs.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent
- Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Registered Clinician
- Significant post-registration experience as a Registered Health Care Professional
Desirable criteria
- ALS Instructor
- AMLS Instructor
- PHTLS Instructor
- Level 6 or higher Clinical Supervision qualification
- Level 6 or higher Mentorship qualification
- Management or Clinical Leadership qualification
- Working towards post-graduate level qualification such as MSc
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
