Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical team lead to join theatres as a band 6 on a full time contract of 37.5 hours.
- 1 Position - General Surgery
You will lead a united team forward, setting standards and promoting as well as providing the best level of care possible. This role will may be required to work cross site, to manage and support the team and coordinate the department as needed.
You will report directly to the senior clinical lead and deputise in their absence, setting excellent standards within the theatre setting and acting as a role model to the wider multi-disciplinary team.
All aspects of the roles include team management, practical team management - Anaesthetics, scrub and circulate as the specifics of the role dictates.
This role required NMC Registration or HCPC registered operating department practitioner Registration
Base Location: UHD - Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Experience
Essential criteria
- Leading, managing and motivating teams
- Demonstrable experience of working within the perioperative environment
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Enhanced theoretical and practical knowledge of the perioperative speciality
- Knowledge of Human Resource policies
- Knowledge of the key principles of the risk management process – reporting on and ensuring action/learning from clinical incidents
Desirable criteria
- Conversant with developments related to perioperative care at national and local levels
- Knowledge of Human Factors
