Job overview
This is an exciting role for anyone interested in providing care to neonates and their families. The right candidate will be providing direct care to infants inside the neonatal unit and also on the post-natal ward to infants requiring Transitional care. We have a dynamic Team that is rapidly evolving and progressing, being involved in two projects: UNICEF Baby Friendly accreditation and BLISS Family Integrated care. There will be plenty of training opportunity provided.
We are a dynamic level one SCBU. Our focus is family-centred care and we are seeking to build on our excellent reputation by re-accrediting for the UNICEF Baby Friendly Award and working towards the BLISS Family Friendly Accreditation. We are seeking a motivated person to pursue a career in Neonatal Care.
Main duties of the job
Provide direct nursing care to infants requiring special care or Transitional care. Support the senior nurses delivering care to infants requiring high dependency or Intensive care.
Support and collaborate with families providing care to their infants.
An informal visit to meet members of the team and to get a feel of what we are all about is highly recommended.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Open to newly qualified nurses and midwives or those with some neonatal experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and families
- Evidence of an ability to manage time effectively
- Evidence of situational awareness.
- Evidence of effective communication skills.
- Evidence of effective organisational skills
