Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Gastro Department at Poole Hospital for IBD Service
Purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive and efficient admin support service to the nurse specialists across both sites and the wider medical Gastro team.
Looking for an organised and motivated person who wants to work within a well established team. Experience and extensive hospital admin skills would be an advantage although training will be given to the right candidate
Base Location: Poole
Interview Date: TBC
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must be good at prioritisation and working to deadlines and have the ability to multi-task in an autonomous setting.
Understanding of medical terminology is desirable and knowledge of the PAS system is also desirable

Essential criteria
- To be educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard with a pass in English and mathematics.
- Basic computer and keyboard skills
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
- Competent in the use of hospital IT systems such as EPR, Evolve, HICSS.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of working in an acute care setting within a busy hospital environment.
Desirable criteria
- Willingness to train others.
