Job overview

We are looking for admin support at  Alderney Hospital, supporting the catering and senior facilities team,

Working in one of Dorset Healthcare Mental Health Hospitals, delivering outstanding care and food, we are looking for a team player to support our facilities service, you will need to have a full clean driving licence.

This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the
service.

Please note visa sponsorship for this role is unfortunately not available. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

Main duties of the job

Working within the rota you will also need to be able to do minute taking and working on cloud based systems

Employment in this post requires Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Person specification

Knowledge, skills and training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ level 3, City and Guilds including level 3 food hygiene practices or equivalent level of training/experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures, HACCP, COSHH
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of menu planning
  • Understanding of therapeutic diets

Job Specific Experience

Essential criteria
  • A clear understanding of financial resources.
  • Experience in a spread sheets and word documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional approach in manner and appearance.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working with or within the NHS in an equivalent or similar role.

  • High level of drive, self-motivation and energy to see tasks and projects through to conclusion
  • Proven ability to achieve results both autonomously and as part of a team, line manager available for reference
