You’ll be part of a supportive Estates team working together to keep our facilities safe, functional, and well maintained.
Our sites span across Sussex, and we offer flexibility with your base location—this role can be based at one of several sites across the county.
Main duties of the job
As part of our Estates team, you’ll carry out a variety of internal and external painting and decorating tasks across a wide range of NHS properties, including:
-
Preparing surfaces and applying paint, wallpaper, and finishes to a high standard
-
Repairing and maintaining painted areas, including plasterwork and minor surface restoration
-
Estimating materials, sourcing supplies, and ensuring value for money
-
Supporting planned preventative maintenance and responding to repair jobs
-
Keeping workspaces clean, tidy, and safe
-
Collaborating with other trades and Estates colleagues as needed
You’ll also be expected to use our Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system to track work and communicate with service users to arrange access when necessary.
