Physiotherapist (Rotational)

Band 5

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the 'East' Physiotherapy Rotation at Sussex Community Foundation Trust (SCFT). This rotation is based around Brighton & Hove and Lewes. This post is fixed term until April 2027, but we will be aiming to extend the successful candidate's contract to permanent in due course, when an opportunity to do so arises. We welcome applications from current Band 5 Physiotherapists looking for a change of role, as well as from Graduate Physios. We welcome applications from applicants who have completed their Physiotherapy degree, but for whom HCPC is pending, but unfortunately on this occasion cannot accept applications from candidates who are yet to complete their Physiotherapy degree.

Please note that you will need to be able to drive with a full UK licence for home visits. Hours of work for full time staff are 37.5hrs per week. Hours will primarily fall within 08:00 and 17:00 with the potential to work the hours in different arrangements in some rotations. SCFT remains committed to flexible working policies and aims to help individuals achieve a strong work/life balance.

Main duties of the job

You will have a supervised caseload and a programme of continuing professional development to assist in your progression. The rotations enable newly qualified Physiotherapists to develop skills and competencies beyond graduate level in a variety of clinical specialties across inpatient, outpatient and community roles, and for established Band 5 Physiotherapists to extend their skills across a variety of clinical services. Rotations available on our East Rotation include:

 * Musculoskeletal Outpatients
* Community Therapy Team
* Community Neuro Rehabilitation
* Community Respiratory
* Intermediate Care Units (Inpatient Rehabilitation)
* Falls and Fracture Prevention
* Amputee Rehabilitation (Split Rotation with Community Therapy)
* Home First (Supported Discharge)

Please note that you will need to be able to drive with a full UK licence for home visits.
