Job overview
We are looking for a Catering Assistant / Restaurant team member to work within the Catering Team at Eastbourne Hospital and part of the facilities catering retail team. Providing a catering support service within our busy staff restaurant. This is an important role that has a direct impact on the service that is provided to our customers.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied role and tasks include stocking up, food service, catering documentation / records and use of our Epos system. The roll will also include hygiene tasks and an attention to detail to help provide a cost affective service to the hospital staff using the facilities through the week. A good ability to communicate is key to delivering this service as well as being able to lease with the catering team in a catering environment. You will also be expected to lease with catering management / supervisor team to promote an effective and efficient service..

- Evidence of standard level of education to GCSE level
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

- 706/1 or equivalent craft qualification (NVQ)
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of HACCP
