We are looking for people to join our friendly and enthusiastic Portering Team at our Worthing site, on a full-time 37.5 hour contract, working various shifts.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to:
Be flexible to cover General Portering, , Post Room and Waste Services which are all a part of the Portering Department.
Be able to work on a shift rota which includes early, late, night and day shifts.
Be able to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and supervisors.
Have a responsible attitude to working in a team.
Have good oral and written communication skills.
Full training on duties will be given.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Supporting the clinic teams with transferring inpatients around the hospital, dealing with urgent calls, moving furniture, cages, cylinders, transferring hospital equipment to name a few duties that the role includes. The department also includes waste and post room.
Full training will be provided in order to be qualified and comply with our compliance.
Maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with Trust Policy.
To aid Hospital staff, visitors and patients when faced with difficult situations caused by third parties, following Trust policies and procedures.
