Housekeeper - Courtauld Ward

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position of Housekeeper on Courtauld Ward at Braintree Community Hospital.

Courtauld ward is an Elective ward specialising in Orthopaedic surgery,  with 23 beds.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

Main duties of the job

 Main duties to include: 

  • Cleaning within the department
  • Ensuring treatment rooms and stores are clean and well stocked
  • Ordering supplies
  • Stock rotation
  • Steam Cleaning
  • Audits
  • Administration duties including photocopying
  • Liaising with estates department regarding maintenance issues and ward improvements
  • Support the team to maintain excellent standards of safety and cleanliness on the ward
