Job overview

Are you an experienced pharmacist looking for a career change or your next challenge in an acute hospital trust?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our modern purpose-built facilities at the Colchester Hospital. You will provide leadership for our clinical pharmaceutical services to elective orthopaedic patients, including within our Dame Clare Marx Building, which houses our new elective orthopaedic centre. The centre focuses on elective orthopaedic surgery and day case activity and has eight laminar flow theatres, three wards, recovery facilities, and support services. You will be pivotal in establishing and developing our service within this new development.

Our friendly pharmacy team are dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. We provide pharmacy forums, tutorials and weekly ICS/ESNEFT delivered educational workshops.

ESNEFT is about to embark on a full site wide implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing and administration and pharmacy stock control system replacement.

In addition to our fully automated dispensaries, we host one of the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service medicines advice sites and the Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit (including a brand new Aseptic facility).
