Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Head of BI (Intelligence) to join our Business Intelligence & Insight Department. This senior leadership role is central to driving the development of high‑quality intelligence across the Trust and ensuring that robust, insightful analysis supports operational performance, clinical care and strategic planning.

The post holder will provide senior leadership within the BI function and will deputise for the Deputy CDIO/CDAO when required. We are looking for an experienced analytical leader with experience working with complex health data and the ability to communicate insights clearly to a wide range of audiences. The successful candidate will be collaborative, proactive and committed to using data and evidence to support better outcomes for patients and support the organisation to strengthen its evidence based decision making.

The proposed interview date is: 5th May

Main duties of the job

- Lead and represent the BI function across the organisation, raising its profile and demonstrating its strategic value

- Oversee the production of high‑quality intelligence, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with statutory and governance requirements

- Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and evolving information environment, maintaining attention to detail and high standards under pressure
