Job overview

We are recruiting for a facilities Operative (Cleaning role) at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Herne Bay.

A part time candidate is sought to work Monday to Friday 5pm to 8pm and any
experience within the Commercial Cleaning industry  or Social Care industry is welcomed.

Please note: this vacancy does not meet the criteria for skilled worker sponsorship

Your hourly rate in this role will be £12.51.

Main duties of the job

This is primarily a hands-on cleaning position where you will learn all the back-ground skills and knowledge to enable you to complete the role, e.g. enhanced and periodic clean training, NHS National Cleaning standards, completion of paperwork, equipment training, COSHH, waste management and basic catering tasks

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of general education including literacy and numeracy
Desirable criteria
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy: GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of good hygiene: Basic knowledge of IT skills: Understanding of written and verbal English language
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS National Cleaning Standards: Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety practices

Experience

  • Recent cleaning experience: Experience of working as part of a team
