Job overview
We are looking to appoint a Housekeeper to our busy Acute Medical Unit.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible hardworking individual with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues. Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
Main duties of the job
You should be comfortable working as part of a team and being directed, but equally may be expected to take the lead in some aspects.
Administration skills, IT skills, prioritisation and organisation skills along with excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
You must must have exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to work around the needs of the team and organisation.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- the organisation and participation at meal times
- ensuring the unit is kept to a high standard of cleanliness in keeping with infection control guidelines
- ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock takes are completed
- reporting of faults, monitoring repairs and maintenance
- ensuring general tidiness of the unit is maintained providing a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- attend mandatory training
