The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. Are you an experienced HR professional seeking to make a real difference within a dynamic and forward-thinking NHS Trust? Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a passionate and strategic Senior HR & PD Business Partner to join our People & Culture team.
The People & Culture service is central to the Trust’s ability to attract, develop and retain a talented workforce, ensuring a positive working environment that supports both exceptional patient care and staff wellbeing. The service has recently been redesigned to ensure it meet the needs of the organisation's new target operating model. This newly created role will be responsible for supporting the senior management team within the new divisions successfully implement the people agenda.
Main duties of the job
- Lead on strategic HR initiatives and support transformation projects across the Trust
- Partner with business leaders to deliver workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement strategies
- Champion best practice in employee relations, organisational development, and equality, diversity and inclusion
- Support the implementation of national and local workforce policies

Essential criteria
- MCIPD qualification and membership.
- Educated to master’s degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Experience of working in a senior HR capacity.
- Evidence of CPD

Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable and extensive HR experience in a business partnering role, some of which must be at senior management level
- Knowledge of current Employment Law and developments in relation to employee relations issues
- Significant experience of organisational change e.g. TUPE, restructure, redundancy
- Experience of planning and delivering people initiatives, including talent management, workforce planning and performance management
- Experience of undertaking complex investigations, writing reports.
- Experience of managing Operational HR and OD teams.
- Experience of working within a highly political and sensitive environment and has the skills to work within this.

- Knowledge and experience of medical and dental terms and conditions
