A new and exciting post has been developed in the Ophthalmology Department here at The Royal Bolton Hospital, for an experienced Ophthalmology nurse to support the Ophthalmology Department working at both Royal Bolton Hospital and off site location.
Strong compassionate leadership skills with and a commitment to quality improvement and training is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the Ophthalmology Team to deliver a high quality patient focused service that meets or exceed the requirements of NICE guidelines and ensure that the care delivered is evidence based and benchmarked against other services and centres.
The post holder will be expected to exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and make critical judgements using specialist knowledge and skills in order to provide the highest standard of holistic patient care. They will practice within defined clinical protocols and guidelines.
The Post Holder will be required to attend meetings and manage day to day staffing issues and co-ordination of clinics and other areas of the ward.
The post Holder will be required to to work clinical shifts as well as a management and clinical training supervision duties.
