Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated person to join the Corporate Safeguarding team at East London NHS Foundation Trust in East London, based at Twinwoods Bedford.

You will work as an integral part of our Safeguarding Team alongside the Safeguarding Data and Information Manager to ensure that we promote and safeguard the welfare of our service users.

You will provide a comprehensive administration service to the safeguarding team under the direction of the Safeguarding Data and Information Manager; and be expected to manage a busy workload, demonstrating your organisational skills in meeting tight deadlines.

This is a demanding service and the provision of administration is equally challenging, with constantly changing priorities so you will need to approach tasks with confidence and clarity.

Main duties of the job

You will possess excellent IT skills across a variety of packages, essentially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Being able to undertake accurate minute taking is also an important element of this role along with general administrative duties, dealing with queries and accurate message taking, and most importantly, the input of accurate data and referral details onto our database and information retrieval on request. You will also have responsibility in maintaining safeguarding databases, and collating and sending any required weekly or monthly reports.

Due to the sensitive nature of information regarding safeguarding you will be required to work within the Trust Information Governance policies and have a calm and professional approach to your work.
