Job overview
Administrative role, fixed term for nine months at Barnsley Street NMHC, 5 days per week.
To provide comprehensive, confidential secretarial and administrative support to Service consultants, Line Manager, wider multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring efficient and smooth running of the team.
The post holder will be required to work in a very busy and demanding environment, should be flexible and adaptable whilst having the ability to prioritise work and use their initiative to make sound judgements.
Typing letters (50-60wpm) including general correspondence, reports, letters to legal professionals, patients, manuscripts, clinical correspondence etc.
Responsible for diary management of consultant and team ensuring information is incorporated into Outlook calendar so that other clinicians can check their availability for meetings and to be familiar with medical staffs’ whereabouts and schedules at all times.
Responsible for arranging meetings organising catering, taking minutes, including safeguarding adults meetings, preparation and circulation of paperwork as instructed by Consultant, other team members or direct Line Manager in line with Administration standards.
To work as part of the overall secretarial/administrative support for the Service, attend meetings, taking notes, chairing in accordance with the rota and provide cover for other administrative/secretarial colleagues on annual leave and sickness.

Main duties of the job
To work to secretarial and administrative standards as outlined by the Service.
To undertake any other ad hoc secretarial/administrative duties as required by the Lead Consultant, Senior staff and Line Manager, consistent with the post and grade.
To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration staff across several locations in some instances.
Responsible for inputting and retrieving information from the designated computerised system ie; RIO, Reporting Services, Mosaic or any other system that may be introduced by the Trust or partner agencies.

Education/ Qualification/ Training
Essential criteria
- English GCSE or equivalent
- Good standard of Written and Spoken English
Desirable criteria
- AMSAR, or equivalent.
- Full range of secretarial procedures to RSA. 3/NVQ 3 level or equivalent experience.
Experience
Essential criteria
- • Working In a Team.
- • Basic Office Experience.
- • Working as part of an administrative/secretarial team for at least two years.
Desirable criteria
- • Working with people suffering from mental ill health.
- • Working in a Multidisciplinary Health Team
