Job overview
An exciting opportunity has risen for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team in a busy hospital environment at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a 1.0WTE substantive Band 5 post.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of our acute adult dietitians, providing excellent dietetic care to both inpatients and outpatients. The post holder will work alongside another Band 5 Dietitian and have the opportunity to work within both the medical and surgical dietetic areas. The caseload is varied and includes general medical, general surgery, respiratory and ITU step-downs as well as a fortnightly outpatient general clinic. This is a demanding post, which frequently manages a complex caseload, requiring excellent prioritisation, communication and team working skills

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc / Post graduate diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
- HCPC registered dietitian
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of knowledge of dietetics within the NHS (or comparable healthcare setting)
- Evidence of experience of enteral feeding
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Skills and Competencies
Essential criteria
- Good oral and written communication skills with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Presentation skills and ability to work autonomously with individuals and groups
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to reflect and appraise own performance
