Information Governance Manager

Band 8A, Full Time, Permanent

The IG Manager will play a key role in the Trust's developing Information Governance and Information Security team, within the Digital Services department.  The IG Manager will be the subject matter expert in all things relating to the Data Security and Protection Toolkit, and will provide assurance to the CISO that the IG agenda is understood in detail, and amended as policy and guidance changes.

Main duties of the job

The IG Manager will be responsible for:

 - providing assurance to the CISO that the DSPT framework is fit for purpose and supports the Trust to achieve standards met in its annual submission

 - being the manager responsible for ensuring the Trust meets is legislative requirements under the Freedom of Information Act

 - develop a positive culture towards all things IG, ensuring that a range of training and awareness activities are developed and delivered to staff of all levels within the Trust

 - developing, managing and maintaining a Publication Schedule
