Job overview

To manage, analyse and develop the contractual delivery of facilities services to the Trust in support of the Directorate of Environment, the Executive team, Trust Board, Divisional Directors, Modern Matrons and Foundation Members in those facilities areas managed within the role. 

To manage, analyse and develop the out sourced facilities contract team in a way that compliments the Trust’s Modernisation agenda, whilst remaining compliant with the law and Directorate objectives by introduction and implementation of a Directorate quality manual where this applies to facilities services.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of contracts supporting Environment (e.g. facilities management, in-house, outsourced and all other functions).
  • To collate, analyse and development proven practises to obtain good management data, to accurately assess the delivery and standards of all soft FM contracts.
  • Manage operational, financial and physical resources effectively in order to ensure the Environment meets service standards, making and justifying requests for additional resource as appropriate.
  • To analyse the delivery of the contracted services from a contractual view point, to drive efficiencies in service and efficiencies in costs.
  • Manage and implement all contract changes or variations to contracted service ensuring that all necessary information is agreed.
  • Assist in the preparation of service specifications for the tendering of non-clinical service contracts.
  • To provide the Trust with analytical benchmarking skills to focus business models in line with the Trust goals.
