Locomotor Administrator – Senior clinical staff

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join our outpatient physiotherapy team.
You will play a key role in organising clinics and processing investigations for our advanced practice physiotherapists and consultants.
You will work face to face with clinicians and our team of administrators making a difference to patients who may be complex or distressed. You will also manage other administrative tasks such as ordering stock, budgetary support, bank staffing, managing waiting lists and compiling waiting list statistics.
You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, supervising our receptionists. Candidates should have excellent and communication skills

Main duties of the job
Provide efficient admin support to the Locomotor Service managers, senior clinicians and their patients. Manage clinical diaries to ensure patients receive the care they need and clinical slots are appropriately utilised.
The post holder will work in a challenging socio-economic environment involving clients who may be highly distressed and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Communicate effectively with clinicians, IT personnel, GP’s, Consultants patients and other parties to ensure efficient and timely service is maintained.
The post holder will have supervisory responsibility for reception staff and cover reception when required and ensure reception is working effectively at all times.
Provide support and deputise in the absence of the Locomotor Office Manager, offer flexible support to the Admin lead when required. This includes ordering stock, recording staff sickness, annual leave and bank staff payment

- • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent)
- • Demonstrate IT literacy, with proficiency using Microsoft packages

- • Ability to demonstrate competence to manage computer databases, current Microsoft packages and any related databases
- • Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
