We answer around two million 999 calls a year and our crews attend more than 3000 emergencies a day. Our 24-hour 111 integrated urgent care services London answer around two million calls a year.
We play a leading role in integrating access to emergency and urgent care in the capital and are striving to ensure patients receive the right response, in the right place, at the right time
Our main role is to respond to emergency 999 calls, providing medical care to patients across the capital, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Other services we offer include providing pre-arranged patient transport and finding hospital beds. Working with the police and the fire service, we are prepared for dealing with large-scale or major incidents in the capital.

If you are looking for work that suits your lifestyle and needs, becoming a London Ambulance Service bank cleaner could be right for you. We are currently recruiting for Bank Premises Cleaning Operatives for our ambulance stations, training facilities and control rooms across London.
Our cleaning bank workers work flexibly to fill short term staffing shortages within the London ambulance service premises.
You can choose the location and shift patterns that are available to suit your needs. You can either work in just one site or across multiple locations.

Bank workers are paid £14.92 (Outer London) or £15.38 (Inner London) per hour inclusive of HCAS.

To be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Delivering a cleaning service in accordance to work schedules and in line with Trust policy. Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout area of responsibility. Replenish consumables, empty bins and use approved cleaning equipment and materials. Maintenance and stock control of cleaning equipment and materials, report to station administrator or supervisor when stocks are required.
