We answer around two million 999 calls a year and our crews attend more than 3000 emergencies a day. Our 24-hour 111 integrated urgent care services London answer around two million calls a year.
We play a leading role in integrating access to emergency and urgent care in the capital and are striving to ensure patients receive the right response, in the right place, at the right time
Our main role is to respond to emergency 999 calls, providing medical care to patients across the capital, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Other services we offer include providing pre-arranged patient transport and finding hospital beds. Working with the police and the fire service, we are prepared for dealing with large-scale or major incidents in the capital.
Job overview
The purpose of this role is to support the Supply Chain Manager (responsible for distribution) in maintaining and running the distribution hub and warehousing estate including line managing the warehouse and delivery operatives.
The post holder needs to ensure systems are in place to enable the incoming delivery, storage, and distribution of equipment, consumables, linen, uniform and other supplies to front line operations

Main duties of the job
- Use experience of staff supervision to ensure a smooth daily warehouse operation including meeting performance metrics, ensuring compliance & standards and ensuring a good working environment for the warehouse and delivery operatives.
- Day to day provision of staffing ensuring all rota lines are covered
- Ensuring all department records are maintained including all mandatory work place regulations such as Health & Safety and Fire Safety. Maintaining further records such as delivery schedules and stock inventory levels. Maintaining staff records such as absence, training, driving licenses and DBS, in line with Trust’s standard KPIs.
- Evidence of the promotion of high standards of discipline in delivering the required service.
- Timely and constructive feedback to team members as and when required

Qualifications, Accreditations, Education
Essential criteria
- At least a NVQ Level 3– e.g storage and warehousing, Team Leader or must enrol onto course upon commencement of role and successfully complete
- Higher National Certificate in Management and Leadership or equivalent
- Full manual driving licence (no more than 3 penalty points)
- GCSE English and Maths C or above or 4-9 grades, Functional skills level 2, (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential criteria
- 1 year of driving experience
- Experience of driving larger vehicles
- Experience of stores / logistics / warehouse work
- Experience of supervising /Line Managing staff
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to relate to people from different backgrounds
- Ability to plan effective and efficient routes
