Multi-skilled Operative (Plumber)

Band 4

West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Essential criteria

Recognised apprenticeship or other approved training scheme, plus relevant experience.
Plus City & Guilds part II or minimum NVQ Level 2 or other recognised course at the appropriate level

Desirable criteria

Health & Safety. Further relevant qualifications
Ventilation Refrigeration, Confined Spaces and Risk Assessment Training.
Water safety Training & Heating system training

Experience

Essential criteria

Demonstrate general experience of plumbing and heating systems or building trade.
Experience of working in large or medium organisational estate service
Significant experience across the Plumbing trades.

Desirable criteria

Worked within NHS environment.
Experience across Engineering trades

Knowledge

Essential criteria

Demonstrate general knowledge and high standards in the field of experience.

Gas Safety, Ventilation systems, Water safety systems.

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
