Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Rotational MSK Physiotherapist within The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  Rotations include Lowe Limb, Upper Limb & Spinal, Hand Therapy and Orthopaedics.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs, and to provide expert advice, guidance and information to patients, health and social care professionals, carers and relatives, and other non-professionals.

 

  • To participate in the Band 6 rotational scheme which may involve working across the Trust, in a range of outpatient departments as well as orthopaedic wards.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Essential criteria
  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health Professional Council Registration
  • Clinical experience in NHS or similar health service across a range of settings
  • Evidence of CPD of expanded specialised skills.
  • Understanding of professional standards of practice – national and local
  • Understanding of clinical governance and implications for the service
  • Evidence of post-graduate courses in relevant field
Desirable criteria
  • Membership of a professional network, National or Regional Network
  • Member of the CSP
  • Attendance at Clinical Educators Course
  • Experience of supervision and education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
  • Experience of running / participating in audit and projects
