Job overview
Are you a Registered Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council and hold a relevant Dental Nurse Qualification? We have opportunities for you to join us in this exciting time, based in central Manchester.
You will provide close support for the Dentist by maintaining high standards of infection control. Confident, competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic are all attributes required for these positions as well as the ability to work as part of the dental team. You need to be interested in ensuring quality Dental services and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals and demonstrate very high standards.
In return, we will provide you with a full induction and support you with a personal development plan and ongoing training when required. You will also benefit from being an employee for a large Trust and so be made aware of up and coming projects and opportunities that there may be.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will ensure the best possible dental nursing care and practice is delivered to patients including those with complex medical, physical and emotional needs. She/he will provide close support dentistry, maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control. The post holder will act as a positive role model within the department for all staff, patients and carers.
The post holder will be expected to learn new skills in line with new practices, qualifications and modernisation and will also have a commitment to continuing professional development. There is an expectation that post holder will undertake post registration training in Conscious Sedation in addition to other post registration training courses relevant to their area of work.

- Registered Dental Nurse Qualification (NVQ 3)
- Professional Registration with the GDC
Desirable criteria
- N.E.B.D.N.
- Post- qualification Certificate in Oral Health, or Radiography qualification or working towards
- Mentorship qualification
