This post is for a Receptionist to cover busy reception desks meeting & greeting patients to the centres and being the main point of call for any building issues.

Main duties of the job

You will provide an accurate, confidential, comprehensive and efficient clerical service to support tenants, ensuring priorities, deadlines and queries are always dealt with correctly and efficiently.

You will work on reception for the building to support all tenants including arriving patients & booking appointments, logging faults, monitoring the car park, making room bookings.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent including Mathematics and English
  • Computer skill qualification such as ECDL, CLAIT or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • Customer Service or Administration such as an NVQ, or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a Reception or administrative role preferably in a health care environment with patient contact
  • Previous experience of data entry/input
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a cross-team function, covering multiple areas with differing ways of working
  • Experience of training and supporting peers

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of confidentiality, data Protection and Caldicott Principles
  • Able to recognise and resolve routine issues referring to a Supervisor or Team Leader, where appropriate
  • Able to communicate in both verbal and written format
  • Organised and methodical, with an attention to detail

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of a hospital-based Patient Administration System
  • Knowledge or experience of room booking systems
