Job overview
As a key member within facilities management, we are looking for someone who is dynamic, innovative, passionate and supportive and who can add value to our developing and expanding department.
You will form part of larger operational management facilities team providing guidance and support to staff within our Domestic and Portering services located within our eight hospitals across Greater Manchester.
You will be expected to provide efficient and quality site management services and compliance. To act as an initial contact for external organisations, co-ordinate site queries and attend to them in a timely manner. To provide, where specified, subject matter expertise for specific technical services, across all localities. Travel between all sites will be expected.
You must have experience of working within a team and using your own initiative in an extremely busy department.

As a key member of our department, you will assist colleagues in providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for the efficient delivery of high quality, Facilities services and Domestic services across the Trusts various sites, including a timely response for ad-hoc situations that require swift resolution.
Ensure highly effective communication systems are in place to keep staff, contractors and service users informed of service, Directorate and Trust issues in respect of Facilities related matters.
Provide day – to – day leadership and operational control to ensure the Facilities Service is developed and maintained to meet or excel the patient`s present and future expectations, in respect of all Facilities Services matters
Experience of working within a cleaning or domestic environment is essential, although training will be provided.
