A job opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team on Sites at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital.  

The position will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales,  HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. 

To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.

Main duties of the job

The Principal Duties of the job are as follows:

•       Work within the Health Board, to undertake duties as designated by the Hotel Services Supervisor.

•       Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness

•       To observe and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.           

•       Prepare food and beverages in accordance with policy, procedures and legislative requirements.

•       Undertake duties as per procedures in relation to the Regeneration (from the frozen to cooked process), ensuring the temperature of the product meets the required temperature.

•       Complete documentation as required e.g. cleaning and waste forms of others as and when necessary.

•       Ensure that all documentation and procedures are maintained for efficiency and accuracy i.e. temperature of food and equipment.

•       Ensure all catering areas are cleaned in accordance with daily and weekly cleaning schedules.

•       Ensure all areas are cleaned in line with the Housekeeping Standard Operational Procedures and the National Standards for Cleaning in NHS Wales.
