Job overview
To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
We have 1 x 35 hour job available for Hotel Services Assistant positions that have arisen at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon.
Main duties of the job
We have available a 1 x 35hr posts for Hotel Services Assistant vacancies which have arisen at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospital.
The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset. The main duties of the post include the delivery of patient feeding at ward level within Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all cleanliness and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering Service such as Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies and procedures, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization. Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites. The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
This post is monthly paid.

Essential criteria
- Able to demonstrate literacy, numerical and comprehension skills sufficient to be able to read and understand written instructions

- NVQ level 1

- Worked within a hotel services environment
- Welsh language Speaking/Listening Skills Level 3 or above
Experience

- Previous experience of cleaning and catering duties

- Some experience of working within a hospital environment
