Job overview

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed pharmacist to support our pharmacy team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Main duties of the job

This post is fixed term for upto 12 months due to maternity cover

Your varied role will involve providing a ward service to a specific area and professional cover in the dispensary. This role will be ideal for those recently completed their pre-registration year or those who would like to gain experience in hospital pharmacy. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

In this role you will build on previous experience, developing greater autonomy and responsibility whilst participating in clinical support at Nevill Hall Hospital and its peripheral sites.

The ABUHB pharmacy department is forward thinking and innovative. Pharmacy enjoys excellent multidisciplinary links within the Health Board and we deliver clinical services to a wide range of specialities and are committed to the professional development of our team. The Health Board has automated pharmacy systems and a comprehensive medicines management service including electronic discharge.
