Job overview
This role requires a motivated individual who can use initiative, manage their time and work well in the team. This opportunity is for someone who can provide clerical and administration support to the team and customer care to patients and visitors. An individual with excellent communication skills is essential. A person who can work on own initiative and as part of a team to provide an environment that focuses on the patient and their experience maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Whilst experience in a range of I.T. systems such as Symphony, Clinical Workstation (CWS) and MYRDDIN is beneficial, full training will be given.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient, caring and quality reception and clerical service on Level 3 at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. The post holder will work along side various healthcare professionals during office working hours.
The post holder will be responsible for accurate maintenance of various records alongside other general administrative and clerical duties. This role involves a great deal of liaison with nursing and medical staff, other staff members across all areas within the Health Board and a high degree of patient contact.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- Good standard of education
- Business Administration level 2 NVQ or equivalent demonstrable knowledge/experience

- Able to communicate with all levels of multi-disciplinary teams
