Job overview
Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our catering team who produce in excess of 1000 patient meals a day.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would work 20 hours a week between the hours of 0800 - 1800, includes weekend working.
You will be part of a team that provides meals to our patients. The post holder will be expected to carry out cleaning duties of the main kitchen, cleaning small and large equipment, ensuring all catering areas are kept clean and hygienic, including walls and floors, in accordance with hygiene regulations.
Operating large equipment after training and dealing with waste. The post holder will be expected to carry out duties that involve lifting, pulling, and pushing of heavy trolleys.
The ability to communicate effectively is essential and applicants will need basic Level 1 in English literacy and numeracy skills or equivalent, due to food safety.
The role involves constant interaction with all other users of the hospital and requires the post holder to be aware of the need to be caring, courteous, respectful, confidential, and customer focused in the delivery of their duties.
Previous experience of working in catering role is desirable.
