We are looking for highly motivated flexible individuals to join the large welcoming Housekeeping Team.

Main duties of the job

 You will assist the Trust to maintain high standards of cleanliness on the wards and departments and be expected to deliver a quality cleaning service throughout the hospital in various areas from Theatres, to ward areas or public areas such as corridors & public toilets working alongside our clinical and other non-clinical colleagues to make a positive contribution to our patients and staff experience. The Housekeeping team deliver housekeeping services 247 within the Trust and you should possess excellent people skills, have a good command of both spoken and written English, and an ability to communicate well with others. You should be an enthusiastic team player with a positive "can-do" attitude. You will be hard working, committed person with a keen eye for detail and a fully flexible approach towards your work.

There are multiple vacancies being advertised, including both full-time and part-time positions. The available roles include weekday positions, weekend-only positions, and evening-only positions

Educations, Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Level 1 in IT
  • Educated to or working towards NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Skills

Knowledge and Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of cleaning in a Healthcare Environment
  • Previous knowledge of COSHH
  • Knowledge of health & safety in the workplace
  • Understanding of infection control

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and service users
  • Good organisational skills
  • Educated to basic entrance level in English literacy and numeracy
  • Able to prioritise own workload within policy and guidelines
