Divisional Senior Manager (Quality) - Lincolnshire (12 Month Secondment)
NHS AfC: Band 8a
We are East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), an organisation focused on delivering a high standard of emergency and urgent care to our patients across the region.

Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking, dynamic, high performing team. We are seeking applications from experienced senior leaders from a clinical background and with a demonstrable broad range of experience in leading change in line with the Trust’s Quality Strategy.
The role will be based at Lincs Head Quarters and will initially be on a 12 month secondment basis, with an opportunity for the role to become substantive for the right candidate. There will be a requirement to cover an on call rota and opportunities for development working alongside existing senior members of the team.
Contact with Sue Cousland, Divisional Director, is strongly advised in the first instance to allow potential candidates to receive further information in respect to the vision for this role over the next 12 months.
Main duties of the job
Lincolnshire Division of East Midlands Ambulance Service are seeking applications from experienced senior leaders from a clinical background and with extensive quality experience for an exciting secondment opportunity.
This role is an existing component of the small senior team in Lincolnshire and is pivotal in ensuring a sustained improvement in the delivery of high quality care. The previous post holder has embedded a robust compliance and oversight platform which is supported by an established governance structure within the Division. The successful candidate will also be expected to represent the Division at internal and external regional meetings.
Although no line management responsibilities are aligned to the role, there is a requirement to work very closely with a diverse range of staff across a wide geographical footprint. The recent appointment of a fixed term role which will focus on transforming the way we deliver care to our patients is a further exciting addition to the team and the expectation is that the 2 roles will very much work in tandem over the coming 12 months
We are looking for the right person to join a cohesive team who has the vision, passion and commitment to continue to drive the quality agenda forward within Division.
The post holder will also be required to represent and deputise for the Divisional Director on any matter related to the delivery of high quality care – this presents an ideal opportunity for further career development.

They will also provide senior clinical leadership for the Divisional Senior Clinical Leader (DSCL) and Specialist Practitioner (SP) roles, acting as the division’s clinical and quality professional lead.
The Divisional Senior Manager (Quality) will take the lead coordinating role in the development of clinical and quality improvement plans, linking divisional priorities with other business areas such as quality improvement, patient safety, clinical directorate and the education department.
